Mabel is part of a litter of 7 born on 06/29/15 and all under 3 pounds at this time. She is a sweet little dappled girl. The woman who owned the momma pup passed away and her Widower surrendered the litter as he is overwhelmed and wanted to be sure they all got wonderful homes. The momma pup was his wife’s baby and he promised her he’d make sure they would be taken care of. Mabel is a smart, sweet girl looking for her forever home. She is a Min Pin/Dachshund mix and has just stolen the hearts of her foster family. Playful and active, she has already begun learning how to fetch and walk on a leash. She loves taking walks and exploring and I know she'll be a great hiker and adventurer when she's a bit older. Mabel has started crate training and sleeps in there at night with her dinosaur and blanket. She is also learning basic commands such as sit, down and comes to her name, She is a quick learner and house-training has been pretty easy for her, though she still has accidents sometimes. It happens, she's a puppy. In the evenings after dinner, she naps on the couch with her dog friends during TV time; sometimes in a big dog pile! Mabel gets along well with other dogs, even if they are bigger and has no problems sharing food or toys. When she's tired, she'll become a snuggle bug and loves to climb into your lap for hugs, rubs, and cuddles. she will take her leash, halter, dinosaur and blanket with her to her new home that way she will have something familiar to help her make the transition. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes a $50 spay/neuter deposit. This will be forwarded to the vet of your choice when sheare old enough to be altered. The normal contract will include an agreement to have the puppy spayed or neutered and is not negotiable. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group, so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups. More about MabelGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates. |
