Bless his heart. He's been through heart worm treatment and his approved adopter, had a major health issue and will not be able to take him after all. He's a wonderful little guy and will steal your heart.  He is so ready for a home of his own.  Booboo is our resident ham, posing for the camera in all sorts of positions. He is  a 1.5 yr old  pure bred Boston Terrier, who has had a really rough life so far. We were told that he was attacked repeatedly by a neighbor's dog, who was 4 times his size. The owner stated he did not have the funds to get the medical attention that Booboo needed, and he couldn't stop the attacks, so he was planning to have Booboo euthanized. Thankfully one of his friends, who is an animal advocate talked him into letting him come to Furever Friends.

When he came to us he had two large knots on his head, and two bad places under his neck, as well as serious damage to his left ear and it was torn badly!  He was so badly injured that, during the healing process, the scar tissue caused him to be deaf in that ear. We had our vet do the surgery to correct it and he can now hear again, though his torn ear could not be totally reattached at the bottom, but it has healed nicely.  We have had Booboo brought up to date on all his shots, neutered and started on monthly flea and tick prevention.   Booboo will go in a crate but would much rather sit with his human companion and sleep on a soft bed. He is leash trained and rides very well in a car.

His adoption fee is $200, which won't come close to covering all his expenses. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group,  so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
