Sweet Rocko is a 11 month old 36 lb, lab possibly, with mixed with a Catahoula. He was was surrendered by an elderly gentleman in failing health who was trying his best to take care of many, many dogs and pups he had taken in over the years. Because of his diminishing health, he was unable to take care of them and told a neighbor that he felt his only recourse was to shoot them, to keep them from starving and freezing during this awful winter we had this year. His neighbor called us and we agreed to help him. Thank God we did because he is the sweetest boy ever! He is wonderful  with children, other dogs, and both men and women. Playful but not hyper and would love to cuddle with you. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and rides well in a car. We do not know about cats. This sweet boy got a second chance and just needs a family to call his very own.

His adoption donation is $200, we are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group,  so your donations are tax deductible and go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
