Greta is a 3 year old 75 pound German Shepherd that wondered up into a yard.We were unsuccessful in locating her owners after several weeks of searching. She is a very sweet friendly girl and she is great with other dogs of any size, but we do not know about cats. I would not put her with small children only because of her size and due to the fact that she does like to give you her paw and jump up for her ears to be scratched, and she can be a little forceful about it.
Greta is Heart worm negative and started on her monthly preventatives.
When we took her to the vet it appears she had already been spayed which is wonderful news! Greta is completely house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She is quiet in the house and hardly ever barks. She gets a little playful but mostly just lays around. She walks loosely on the leash and stays right by your side or slightly ahead of you, never pulling on the leash. She is good off leash as well and will come when called. She is also very well behaved when she is riding in a car.
If you would like to meet Greta, please contact us at info@ffosk9rescue.org for an application.
We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates. |
