Duchess is a castoff after she was overbred and neglected of her basic needs. She is Heartworm positive and undergoing weekly doses of heartgard plus to help her battle the heartworm. Because of her age and dilapidated state, we chose not to spay her until she is deemed healthy enough. She is a tired old girl who just needs a family to love her and take care of her without breeding her for the rest of her life. Duchess is a sweet girl that spends most of her days laying around the house snoring and dreaming of the wonderful life she was deprived of. She is good with dogs and cats. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
