Boone is a gorgeous, non shedding, blue and gold, Silky Terrier. He is 2 1/2 years old and 10.7 pounds. This little guy wants to be as close to his humans, as much, as possible. He is a real lover and is the happiest when sitting in your lap, if he can't be in your lap, he will lie on your feet. Boone is playful, outgoing, both leash and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate at his foster home, but he would love nothing more than to share your bed. Boone does ok in his crate, but he would hate to be in there, alone, 8 to10 hours a days, so will do better in a home where someone one will be with him a lot and even take him with them. He rides great in a car. Boone will bark & alert his people when it comes to a door bell ringing, loud noises, and other dogs barking, so apartment living would not be a good idea. He will chase and fetch anything, and he loves it. He will bring it back and want you to wrestle him for it. Boone in not at all aggressive with other dogs, but he doesn't really want to play with them, he definitely prefers people. He did great with the cat at his foster home. He was very curious and wanted to talk to the cat, the cat is very dog friendly and was pretty bored. He has recently been neutered and is marking a little still, which is easily solved with a belly band. He does go outside for major deposits. We never allow pups outside a fence and off leash. Boone is neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated, tested negative for heart worms, wormed, groomed, and started on heart worm & flea prevention. This is a courtesy post for another non-profit rescue. Their adoption donation,to cover his vetting, grooming etc is $250. Boone is not available for long distance adoption. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates. |
