Pharaoh is a 2 year old Black Lab mix, 60 pounds,neutered, UTD on all his shots, HW negative. good with kids, not good with cats(according to owner surrender) or chickens. He has a very high prey drive so would only suggest going to a home that does not have small pets, good in a car, good on a leash but does pull some,has had some formal leash training but still needs work, has learned to focus and sit, doesn't not like a crate but will quiet down after a few minutes. Really no need to crate him. he has excellent house manners, completely house broke.  He  loves   his belly scratched. He will roll onto his back to get a belly rub. Likes to sleep in bed with his people, good with some dogs. Can get excitable and want to play and doesn't submit to other dogs warnings, but has not started a fight with them or engaged in fighting. Super nice dog. Does no t require constant attention at all. Just happy to lay and sleep on Karunda bed or lay around outside. Knows some simple commands.

We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets.

We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
