Belgian Shepherd Malinois (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young Won't you think about adopting me?
If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups, the first step is to fill out an application at http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption .
Loki is a 7 month old, scared shy boy that seems to bond with women easiest. He appears to be frightened of men so he will need someone that is patient and has experience with his breed and personality. So... if you have had Malinois in the past and have had them trained professionally and you have the patience to let him work through his anxiety, then Loki may be the dog for you. Once he bonds with you he wants to be with you at all times so you will have to break him of that desire. He is what we call a velcro dog. But he is a very well behaved dog and seems to have good house manners. He does need some house training because we believe he was allowed to to do his business in the house, but he is learning by watching the other dogs go outside. He enjoys running and gets the zoomies when he is out playing. He does like to fetch a ball as well. He gets along great with other dogs but can seem a little possessive but easily redirected. He shares the bed and the couch with his humans and other dogs in the house. He is used to living with a teenage girl so we recommend a home with older kids. He seems fine around cats but we are not 100% sure about that. He has just come nose to nose with the barn cats and doesn't seem to mind them.
Once the application is submitted his foster mom with start processing the application and all the necessary calls are made someone will be in touch. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates. |
