If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups, the first step is to fill out an application at http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption .
The adoption fee is $275 which includes a $50 deposit that will be paid directly to your Vet to help offset the cost of the spay or neuter. We don't like to do a pediatric spay/neuter, however, a spay/neuter agreement MUST be signed at adoption and proof of altering must be produced by the time the puppy is 6 months old. Sawyer was born to a mom who was allowed to run the entire neighborhood. We have an idea of who the Daddy might be but there is no way to be sure. We had to coax he and his siblings out from under a house through a tiny hole to retireve them. They were filthy, covered with fleas so much that their little tails were scabby. They have all been bathed to get rid of the fleas, then an oatmeal bath to soothe the skin and an antibiotic bath for the sores from the fleas. They have been wormed and treated with revolution to prevent re-infestation. Hi His mom looks like a Black Lab and the dog that the folks thought might be his father looks like a German Shepard mix. But he and his sibling Suzi look like the Yellow Lab down the street. The earliest he would be available for for adoption would be October 15, after his second set of vaccines. He will need two more sets. Sawyer is very playful and loves to romp with his siblings or his foster mom, but calms right down for a good snuggle when picked up. He is sweet as he can be, will play tug with his foster mom and his siblings, is very social and is learning to fetch a ball. He would be an wonderful companion for a lucky family. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates. |
